Volunteer & Community Service Opportunities for AAUW Book Sale

Students from area high schools invited to sign up for needed community service hours at the upcoming annual AAUW book sale in Bernardsville.

Volunteers and students in area high schools who need to log community service hours can earn hours preparing for and assisting the American Association of University Women's Annual Used Book Sale, coming up in early August at the Bernardsville Middle School.

The collecting and sorting of books and DVDs and CDs begins July 29 through August 1 and August 5, according to the web site for the Somerset Hills AAUW.

On those days, students are needed for shifts of two to six hours each day, between 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Students would be asked to receive bags of books at the loading dock; sort and set up books on tables, and later pack up unsold books.
