Bernardsville Mother & Daughter Plan Liberty Science 'Genius Gala'

Sir Richard Branson among those due to accept awards at fundraising event.

Bernardsville resident Maggie Hariri has teamed with her daughter, Alexandra Hariri, to help plan Genius Gala 2.0, the Liberty Science Center's 20th annual fundraising event.

The gala is scheduled to take place May 24. Sir Richard Branson, British entrepreneur and an investor in Natirar in Peapack-Gladstone, Garry Kasparov, Russian chess master, and Dr. Cori Bargmann, an American neurobiologist, are scheduled to accept Genius Awards at the event.

Maggie Hariri is leading Liberty Science Center’s 20-plus member volunteer committee, which is working to greatly increase the nonprofit organization’s outreach to new friends for the science center, which is located in Jersey City.
