Player-Designed 'Pink Out' Shirt to be Sold at Friday's Bernards High Football Game

Third annual "Pink Out" night to raise money and awareness for breast cancer prevention to be theme of Friday's Mountaineers football game.

The Bernards High Mountaineers football will meet Belvidere High School for a home game on Olcott Field at 7 p.m. on Friday — and the evening will also be the occasion of the Mountaineers' third annual "Pink Out" Night.

The Bernards High Mountaineers will be sporting custom black and pink jerseys the "Pink Out" game. The jerseys were designed by Junior Troy laVecchia, shown wearing his creation.

All proceeds from the sale of pink t-shirts, wrsitbands, glow lights, and other items will be donated to the American Cancer Society's A Crucial Catch, said Mountaineers Head Coach Jon Simoneau.

All fans are asked to wear pink.

As of Friday, the bracelets had sold out, but the team was planning to sell some more t-shirts for $10 apiece at the game.
