Somerset Hills, Bedminster Schools Closed Friday Due to Snow
Snow day already called for Friday in Bernards Township, Somerset Hills and Bedminster schools.
With snow expected to pile up to about 4 to 8 inches overnight, Bernards Township schools were declared closed for Friday, according to notification from the Board of Education and the Bernards school website.
Schools also were declared closed on Friday on school websites for the Somerset Hills school district, which includes Bernards High School, and for Bedminster Township public school.
Snow may continue into the early morning hours, and may be subject to blowing and drifing on Friday even after snowfall tapes off, according to the National Weather Service. Temperatures in Basking Ridge were expected to plummet to 11 degrees overnight. Continuing weather updates are available on Patch.
