The Flemington man found Wednesday after a manhunt that ended at the Trump National Golf Club had, in his possession, six firearms when he was taken into custody, according to NJ State Police Sgt. Adam Grossman.

Daryl Haluszczak, 29, was charged by the Hunterdon County Prosecutor's Office with unlawful possession of weapons and possession of weapons for an unlawful purpose when he was arrested.

Grossman said Haluszczak was found in possession of three rifles, two shotguns and one other firearm that was not identified.

According to a statement released Wednesday afternoon by Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony Kearns III, Haluszczak took weapons from a Readington Township home he was house-sitting while the residents were on vacation.

Shots were reported to be fired on the property, which is on Pulaski Road in the Whitehouse Station section of the township, Kearns said.

According to Grossman, troopers were initially called to an accident on Interstate 78 Wednesday morning.

"When they got there, they found a silver Dodge Ram in the center median with heavy damage to the undercarriage," he said. "It was abandoned."

Grossman said no other vehicle was involved in the accident.

A search was conducted, Grossman said, and Haluszczak was found in a wooded area near the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster.

"He was taken into custody without incident," Grossman said.

Grossman said Haluszczak was charged with driving while intoxicated from the state police, and Readington Township Police may have additional charges.
