Peapack Resident Charles R. "Chuck" Meyer Dies at 55

Meyer cofounded Meyer Bros. Construction, Inc. and coached wrestling and baseball in Bernardsville.

Peapack resident Charles R. "Chuck" Meyer, 55, died suddenly at home on Jan. 27, according to a report on Legacy.com.

A Bernards High School graduate who served as co-captain of the football team, Meyer founded Meyer Bros. Construction, Inc. of Far Hills with his brother in 1979. He coached wrestling in the Bernardsville Recreational League and the baseball in the Bernardsville Little League

He is survived by his wife of more than 32 years, Deborah Campbell Meyer; his two sons, Craig C. and Sean W. both at home; his mother, Jean Trusheim of Supply, NC; his twin brother, Craig F. Meyer of Peapack; his two sisters, Linda J. M. Tintle of Westbrookville, NY., and Diane M. Pasquarello of North Plainfield; a niece, Dominique Pasquarello and a nephew, Grayson Meyer.

Visiting hours will be held at the Layton Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Bedminster on Wednesday, January 29 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Recreational Boating and Fishing Foundation at www.takemefishing.org
