Dr. Joseph J. Murphy November 06, 2012 at 06:07 PM
We got power back Sunday night but much of Canterbury still is out.

Still no power in Hamilton Woods. It's a health risk already, especially in the evenings, because of the freezing temperatures.

Any word about countryside??

It's still awful! Finally saw some utility trucks on Washington Valley Rd off of 202/206 - not sure where they were from. Some houses around me have power. JCP&L gave me the same song & dance: Most will have power by Wed. Very cold comfort.

Any idea when power will be on in Hamilton woods?
Sal DiFranco November 06, 2012 at 06:33 PM
JCP&L response to our area has been close to negligent. The severity of this storm was not a shock..If you know what the situation is going to be a week ahead of time it would seem that you would prepare and staff accordingly. over a week now on Linden drive..bernards township looking at less than 90% by the end of Saturday. I think this should be the subject of governmental review. I find it interesting that the AC casinos had their power restored before the weekend

Any idea about Mount Airy at Lyons? The traffic lights are working which usually mean we get power, but not this time. Day 9 without power and getting cranky, but happy for those that have gotten thier power back. Is there a electricity lottery ticket I can buy?

I am at a friends but was really hoping to come home to power this afternoon. Still haven't seen any JCP & L trucks in the area.

Are any of the restaurants in riverwalk open with power?
David Misiak November 06, 2012 at 07:20 PM
Lisa - Riverwalk has had power for 3 days and is very busy. All restaurants at the Bridgewater mall have been open since Wednesday. Venetto is serving pizza.

What is the deal with Hamilton Crest? We have been without power for over a week and we don't even appear on any lists. Have we been forgotten?
TTravis November 06, 2012 at 08:03 PM
so 20% will be restored by Friday and everyone else on Saturday? I call BS.

I absolutely understand the expansiveness of this storm but not feeling the power love on Spencer Road. Any updates? Feeling so grateful for friends who have power who have been feeding and housing us.

Lord Stirling and surrounding streets are still wo power. Jcpl are awful, is there no way to hold them accountable for terrible service.!!!!!! Will we all not be charged for this non service? DMcG
Janiene Losco November 07, 2012 at 02:35 AM
Hey, let's only pay 50% of our bill next month for JCP&L's lack of planning and non-service. : ) In the corporate world, companies would be fired with performance like this. I do want to applaud the individual JCP&L workers who are working around the clock, though.

No power on Somerville Road, and not one utility truck working either! If someone from this town, does not rise a voice with the governors office over this matter, well no vote for you this year, or any other year you would like to run! I was told today by JCP&L, that they have no more poles or transformers in the state, and that is why I have no power! You can get crews from Texas here to work, but you can't get poles and transformers! I smell another coverup, and it stinks!!
Ptiger November 07, 2012 at 04:11 AM
Does anyone from the town read these reports! JCP&L numbers don't add up! 6470 customers are without power and after the next 3 days only 4214 customers should have their power back! What is to happen to 2256 customers left after the next 3 days! NO POWER TILL WHEN! Working around the clock, so why do the numbers keep on going down each day with fewer and fewer customers restored, but we have another 2256 still without power! Someone please explain this for me!
