Sounds Around Town Delayed Until Saturday

Bernardsville Chamber of Commerce invokes second rain date for community event.

Bernardsville's Sounds Around Town, rescheduled for this Friday, now has been moved to 5 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, June 15, according to the Bernardsville Chamber of Commerce.

The event is set to a wide range of musicians and musical styles at locations around the borough, including performances by students from Bernards High School and the Bernardsville Middle School to be presented at Bernardsville Centre shopping center off Route 202.

Children's activities also are scheduled to be held at the shopping center, including an appearance by the Preschool of Rock, as well as teen bands.

Other events include an open mic to be held at the Essex Street parking lot off Claremont Road, and a wide variety of styles of music, he said.

Many of the borough's restaurants and shops will be open late that night, said Joe Rossi, co-chair of the event. Shops such as 56 Degrees Wine shop on Claremont Road have promised to participate again.
