Expansion Proposed for Somerset Hills Shopping Center

Application was before the Land Use Board.

The Bedminster Township Land Use recently heard the start of an application for expansion of the Somerset Hills Shopping Center.

According to Lance Boxer, chairman of the Land Use Board, the proposal is to expand the center with “major facial renovations.”

In addition, Boxer said, they are looking to add a fresh market in the center.

Boxer said the application will be on the agenda again for an upcoming Land Use Board meeting, which will be set after upcoming reorganization meetings.

“Much work remains on their application,” he said. “But in general, it’s a good thing.”
